While it might seem like a fantasy, the Unicorn mascot is actually used by several schools, and one of the most famous examples is New Braunfels High School in Texas. The story goes that the Unicorn might have originated from a misinterpreted coat of arms featuring a lion, where an ear or a crown spike was mistaken for a horn. At NBHS, you'll find Eugene and Eunice, the male and female Unicorn mascots, and even a large paper-mâché mascot named Buford that travels to games and events 🏆.
