When it comes to school mascots, Cleveland State University has a pretty cool one – the Vikings While the term "Vikings" might not be as common as, say, a lion or an eagle, it's definitely unique and full of history. The Vikings mascot replaced an earlier one called Freddie the Fox when Fenn College transformed into Cleveland State University back in 1965. Today, the Vikings symbolize strength, courage, and a strong team spirit, which is perfect for a university with a robust athletic program. The current mascot, Magnus, is a fierce Viking warrior who reps the school's forest green and white colors 🛡️.
