⚔️Mascot: "Axemen"

The Axemen mascot is quite the legend, especially in Oregon. Until 2018, South Eugene High School proudly called themselves the Axemen, a name that’s been around since the 1950s. This tough-sounding mascot is all about being bold and fearless, just like the ax-wielding lumberjacks it's inspired by. The idea is to evoke strength and resilience, qualities that are super important in sports and life in general. Although the school eventually changed the name to "The Axe" to be more inclusive, the Axemen still hold a special place in the hearts of many alumni and fans 🛡️. It's a reminder that mascots can be more than just a name; they can represent the spirit and values of a community.
